This musical portrayal of the life of legendary singer Jane Froman is filled with music and an inspiring story. Susan Hayward portrays the singer who supplied the singing voice in the film. Froman was the top female singer of the time. The film captures her life and career and most importantly, her recovery from a devastating plane crash. The story is based on facts and follows her life pretty closely. Bonus features include a look at the life of Froman and a look at how the film portrays her life. There is also a conversation with her husband whom she met on the fateful flight in which he tells the story of the plane crash and how they were thrown together to survive in the water until help came. They were both critically injured, but both managed to live. This is an inspiring story and a film filled with memorable songs of the time.
